Does this ever occur to anyone else?
I haven't recently had a relative or close friend pass away, but after speaking with a friend of mine yesterday, and learning about the death of a friend of hers, I started to think; whether you got along well with a particular person before they passed or not, do you ever wish you hadn't done/said certain things to them? Do you wish you would've/could've told them something you never got the chance to tell them? Do you even realize exactly how important they are before they're gone? Another friend of mine had her brother, who was only six years old pass away a few years ago. She explained to me that although she didn't see him often as they didn't live under the same roof, the majority of her memories of her and her brother were the two of them arguing. She explained that although most of the arguments were over silly things, she wishes she had been much nicer to him. I also found out last night that a teacher my friends often took for granted during my seventh grade school year drowned earlier yesterday afternoon, while trying to prevent his son from having the same thing happen to him. But on a slightly happier note, his son did end up making it out of the river safely. Now this gave me something to think about. This particular history teacher and sports coach may have been annoyingly strict, but he died a hero, father, husband, teacher/coach, and of course a loved one too many other people. That having been said, even the most irritating people in our lives can somehow mean the most to us, but we never notice it until after we learn that we will never see them again.

Things that really aggravate me at the moment
First of all, between two or three particular people, on a daily basis, I get text messages from them saying "hey". Now it's not that I don't like talking to them, but after talking to them in person, you would think they would have much more to say than just "hey", or "what's up?". I don't mind getting texts like that from people I haven't spoken to in a while, but I talk to those particular people pretty much daily. Secondly, there's nothing wrong with speaking your mind, but do you think the stranger walking down the street ahead of you really cares how ugly you think he is? Probably not; it's just too bad my brother doesn't understand that. :p you don't have to see him on a daily basis, so is it necessary to point out stuff like that, especially if he didn't ask? Now if he actually had asked, as polite as I usually try to be, I'm pretty sure I would've given him my honest opinion, but he didn't, so who cares? Besides, pointing out unnecessary stuff like that is just childish, in my opinion. I'm not saying you should lie about what you think, but if you have a negative opinion about something like that, it would be much more respectful to just keep your mouth shut. And finally, what purpose do lifeguards serve, if they refuse to do their job? During a conversation I was having with a friend of mine who works as a lifeguard at a public city pool in her area, she explained to me that another lifeguard was sitting on the edge of the pool, wearing regular clothes, and a little boy who was struggling to stay above water was in plain sight. Her excuse for not going to help the little boy was "I'm not wearing a swimsuit.". So what if he had drowned? You would've been fired, right? Probably. So if I were you, I would've jumped into the pool, no matter what I was wearing. Sure, my clothes would've been soaked; which in most cases, would aggravate me, but it's much better than witnessing the loss of another human life, when you could've done something to prevent that. But anyway, Jasmine, who didn't have to work for another 30 minutes after she got to the pool and wasn't wearing a swimsuit either, decided that instead of making the other lifeguard actually do her job, she was going to rescue the boy herself. Good for her. I'm starting to hope that other lifeguard gets fired. Okay, rant over.

random stuff..
Okay, a few things: 1) I'm honestly still trying to figure out how to use this thinggy. 2) when you sign up for things such as social networking sights, and you're asked to name your gender, why do we have the option to select "other" as our gender? Really, what other genders are there besides male and female that I'm not aware of? :p 3) If anyone actually sees any unintelligent posts besides this one in the future, I oppoligize; I can never think of anything productive to post, that someone else hasn't already posted. 4) On a random, pointless note, I reeeeeeeeeally want pie! :d
